SUMMARY
Jutta has been classically trained in Germany and was one of the earliest women to be accepted into, and successfully complete a 3-year in-depth Bereiter F.N., training program. Jutta has a proven track record managing a variety of equine activities and is established as a well-respected trainer in Southern California at all levels, including FEI. Currently training/showing horses up through FEI, Jutta is an engaging, encouraging and effective instructor, and is also a successful local, regional and national-level competitor.

PHILOSOPHY
Jutta takes a balanced approach to partnership [horse/rider] needs. She works with individual horses and clients on their goals, striving to reach those goals in a harmonic partnership. This philosophy consistently creates the environment for Jutta's clients to advance through the levels.

  • German National License, Bereiter F.N. [1970-1973]
    Successfully completed German national apprenticeship program for professional riders - Hamburg.
  • Equine Reproduction and A.I. [1987]
    Colorado State University
  • Continuous education in the form of clinics and mentoring with established internationally-ranked trainers/competitors in Europe, Spain and the USA. Worked extensively with Juan Matute and Leslie Webb.
  • At the end of 2002, Jutta became a US Citizen, which has opened up additional, previously closed, competitive doors.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Between 1980 and 2003 Jutta has brought a number of horses up from Training level through FEI levels. These horses range from the traditional European warmblood breeds to breeds that have initially not been considered mainstream or accepted easily into the US dressage ranks in open competition.Jutta has received honors at the local, state (Dressage Assn. of Southern California [DASC] / California Dressage Society [CDS]), and national (United States Dressage Federation [USDF]) levels for her competition horses consistently throughout her career. USDF Bronze Medal awarded 09/13/1995; USDF Silver Medal awarded 06/23/1997; 2 scores from USDF Gold Medal.

a. 2003 Open: 3rd Level USDF Horse of the Year [HOY] - 16th of 290; 3rd at 3rd Level All Breed Awards, sponsored by International Andalusian & Lusitano Horse Association [IALHA]. Nat'l Champ & Regional Championships for breed at 3rd and 4th levels.

b. 2002 Open: DASC Champion 2nd Level; 5th at 2nd Level USDF All Breed Awards, sponsored by IALHA.
2. Grundstein's Legacy - 1994 Oldenburg Gelding, trained through Prix St. Georges; schooling Piaffe. [JH 1999-2004]
a. 2002 Open: 2nd at 3rd Level USDF All Breed Awards, sponsored by Oldenburg Horse Breeders Society, North America [OHBSNA];

b. 2001 Open: DASC Champion [2nd level]; 5th at 2nd level [USDF HOY]; 1st in USDF All Breed Awards, sponsored by Oldenburg Registry of North America [ORNA].

c. 2000 Open: 2nd at 1st Level USDF All Breed ORNA.
3. Kashmir - Danish Warmblood gelding, competed to Prix St. Georges, then sold to a USDF Young Rider in Region 5, who consequently qualified for the North American Young Rider Championships Team in Dressage in 2000.

4. Athlyn El Reeh - Arabian Stallion, trained through Intermediare 1 and retired for breeding. [JH 1992-1998]

Instrumental in early training [thru European equivalent of 2nd/3rd levels] of internationally competitive warmbloods: Montevideo, Holsteiner Stallion - Dressage [competed for Germany, 1984 Olympics]; Lago Maggiore, Holsteiner Stallion - International level 3-Day Eventer; Tudor, Dutch Stallion - Dressage [sire of G. Tudor]; Pasha, Hanoverian Stallion - International Dressage & Jumping competitor. Augmenting her personal successes on client horses are her clients successfully moving through the levels with their horses and reaching their personal goals which have most recently included; two USDF Bronze Medalists and a USDF JR/YR Team Developing Rider.
