Fillies definitely rule in 2009!
Yep - you know it - another filly born! This little girl is one you just want to wrap up in your arms and take home to cuddle. Born of a 14.3h TB mare, she is small, well proportioned and, well, already very curious about everything. Athletic and quick with her hind end - she bounces all over the place but "will be right back."

Luck Be A Lady IDSH (Elle) - Born on April 30, 2009, has the potential
of a great story. Martha's beloved mare Lady died the same day that this filly
was conceived. Her vet is a practicing Buddist and believes that Luck be a Lady
may be 'Lady' reincarnated. It will be fun to follow her growth and development
and see what traits come though.

"SPROUT" - Born on Earth Day - April 22nd at 10PM, Oisin's second filly for the 2009 season was born to Aquila Lion ISH (owned by Sally Chappell). Filly is close to a carbon copy of her sister (Penny) - born in 2008... little more 'chrome' and very friendly! Photo at right (3-days old).

Rehbeccah (from Oregon) reports: "Just wanted to let you know that we had a beautiful healthy FILLY last night (3/14/09). She is looking like a bay of some sort at this point. I will get some pictures soon. It is POURING RAIN here so hard to get some outside...and the ones taken inside are not real great...but will get some to you soon. Let me just say she is nicely shaped and strong and very coordinated. She seems to have a nice gentle disposition and is not flighty...very friendly and engaging. Both mom and filly are in good health. I will give you more details later and some pictures. Just wanted to let you know all is well and she is a beauty...I think she looks a lot like the stallion so far. Yeah!"
